The Church of Christ at Eastside, under the leadership of Jack W. Wooten
Sr., began prior to 1983. Through the Lord’s guidance and instructions, Bro.
Wooten was instrumental in establishing our congregation at this location. After relocating to our new place of worship, he exemplified qualities of true commitment, perseverance, labor, love, and biblical education. His legacy provides a continuous model for ministers, teachers, evangelism, counseling, and leadership. He represented the admonition of Paul: And whatsoever you do, do it heartily as the Lord (Col. 4:6 ).

Floyd R. Hughes, currently serving as minister of the church, demonstrates strength and enthusiasm prepared to fulfill the challenges of the congregation. Serving in the capacity of assistant minister and deacon, his experiences are significant for stewardship and leadership necessary to build the church. In fact, his interpersonal and communication skills provide the tools to convey the gospel to everyone. He effectively perpetuates the spirit of love among
the church and the community.

The Church of Christ at Eastside is a bible-based friendly congregation which believes in the inspired word of God. Consequently, we stand firmly on the original principles of the church. As we continue striving to accomplish the will of God, we are passionate about obeying God and sharing the plan of salvation.

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.

We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understand Scripture helps us all live meaningful lives. 

Community

Join us. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God. 

Youth Ministry

Youth is a unique period of life, one filled with exploration, discovery, excitement and fulfillment. The Church Youth Ministry provides a nurturing, loving environment for young people exploring the world. It is a safe place where faith guides exploration and self-discovery. 

Children's Ministry

The Gospel has a message for everyone, of every age, and in every language. Exposing your child to the Lord's path when they are young gives them guidance, hope and strength that lasts a lifetime. To learn more, be in touch with one of our Pastors.
